Overview

‘Backwater Tour of Kerala’ package is well designed itinerary which will give you the chance to explore the Kerala’s two prime attractions Kumarakom and Alleppey. Kumarakom is the one of the most popular tourist destination in Kerala. It is renowned for backwater, located on the Vembanad Lake, which is the largest lake of fresh water. The backwater fishing village is indeed a haven, and has had its attractions advertised by some stunning top end resorts by the side of Vembanad Lake.   It is India’s first destination, who accomplish the sustaining eco-friendly tourism, also awarded for 'Responsible Tourism' project in Kumarakom, by Kerala Tourism.

Alappuzha also known as Alleppey. It is one of the oldest planned city of the kerala, located about 75 kilometres away from Kochi and about 155 kilometres from Trivandrum. It is one of the popular tourist destination of India. It is famous for backwaters. There are at least six navigable canals in the town. In the east they open to the backwater connecting the city to the mesh of backwater trials, which are abuzz with reinvented kettuvalloms (houseboats). In this fresh and salt water eco system, visitors come to rediscover life lived at a deliciously slow pace. The duration of the package is 3 nights and 4 days, which gives you a chance to explore the most beautiful regions in God’s won country,Kerala, along with that you will also get an opportunity to enjoy the cruising on the backwaters of Alleppey. Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Cochin-Kumarakom (By Road-49 kilometres) Sightseeing

Upon arrival at the airport in Cochin, meet our tour representative, after welcome, proceed to Kumrakom. Kumarakom is one of the major tourist destination of the state of Kerala. It is renowned for backwater, located on the Vembanad Lake, which is the largest lake of fresh water.

Check-in at a backwater resort. After freshen up , proceed to visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, it is Protected by a thick cluster of mangroves, the bird sanctuary spread across 14 acres and home to over 180 species of birds. It is best to visit on foot by one and half kilometres on walking trek, where you are likely to spot heron, darters, water duck, waterfowl, owl, cuckoo and Siberian crane.

You may also take some adventure activities like water skiing and windsailing.
Stay overnight at the backwater resort.

Day 2 : Kumarakom Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Kumarakom, enjoy the backwater cruise on the placid waters of Lake Vembanad. Explore the Kettuvallaum which is a traditional houseboat.

Later explore the surrounding coconut grooves along with the beautiful locations. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 :  Kumarakom-Alleppey (By Road-32 kilometres) Sightseeing

Post breakfast, proceed to Alleppey. Alappuzha also known as Alleppey. It is one of the oldest planned city of the Kerala, located about 75 kilometres away from Kochi and about 155 kilometres from Trivandrum. It is one of the popular tourist destination of India. It is famous for backwaters. There are at least six navigable canals in the town.

Upon arrival at Alleppey, check-in at the houseboat. The houseboat has well-equipped rooms with all modern comforts. Overnight at Alleppey.

Day 4 : Alleppey-Cochin (By Road-54 kilometres)
